Please join us for the next free HairFlair for Hope workshop. HairFlair for Hope is a nonprofit organization that handcrafts one-of-a-kind, fantasy wigs for women and children experiencing hair loss to medical illness. These wigs are made with care in craft workshops by kind-hearted volunteers like you. You don't need to be crafty nor to have experience in wig-making, knitting or crocheting to create a fabulous masterpiece, as we will guide you through the wig-making process step-by-step. Just bring yourself, an open mind and pair of scissors to this fun crafting session. 
Workshop Time: 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Workshop Location: Washington, DC (3 blocks from the Takoma Metro Station / Red Line). You'll receive the workshop address, via email, after you've registered.
What to Bring:
- Sharp pair of scissors (for your use only)
- Comfy clothing, and if you have any,
- Thick, fuzzy or sparkly yarn. We can never get enough of the glamorous yarns, though we have more than enough of the thin, basic yarns!
It is important that you arrive on time for the group instruction and be able to stay the duration of the workshop. Due to the dexterity, attention and dedication required to make a wig, we ask that all our volunteers be 13 years or older and able to sit and work for a four-hour period of time.
As our wig-making workshop space is currently limited by our space constraints, it's important that we get a full house of volunteers. If, by chance, after registering, you realize you're not going to be able to make it, please give us a call or email us to let us know of your change of plans.
